Accelerates Time-To-Market For Device Manufacturers

OTTAWA, Ontario — Espial® (TSX:ESP), a leader in On-Demand TV software and solutions, today announced a partnership with Sigma Designs (NASDAQ: SIGM). To allow device manufacturers to achieve rapid to time-to-market, Espial and Sigma Designs have pre-integrated Espial TV Browser version 6.0 and Adobe Flash on Sigma Design chipset reference platforms.

  • Espial TV Browser (based on WebKit) is pre-integrated with Sigma reference platforms and includes support for Adobe Flash, Flash video and HTML5 Video.
  • The combined solution reduces project risk and shortens time to market for device manufactures with: out-of-box availability, unmatched performance, excellent stability, and rapid time-to-market.
  • Espial TV Browser features high-speed web rendering on Sigma chipsets. This enables fast HTML, SVG or JavaScript user interfaces, a PC-like web browsing experience and over-the-top video support for sites like YouTube and BBC iPlayer.
