SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 – BitBand, a leading provider of video content delivery solutions over IP broadband networks for Telcos, announced today that Israeli satellite broadcast operator, "yes", has selected BitBand for the deployment of Video On Demand (VOD) services in Israel.

This deployment is one of the first of its kind to utilize a hybrid network that enables receiving both a satellite feed for broadcast television and an IP feed for VOD services to the same set-top box at the subscriber's home. BitBand solutions employed by "yes" are the BitBand MaestroTM Content Distribution and Management suite and BitBand VisionTM servers streaming the video content on demand over Broadband infrastructure to "yes" subscribers. BitBand's technology components have been seamlessly integrated and tested, assuring a high quality and availability of the new services.
