Mar 1, 2012 – Vivendi (Paris: VIV) has released results for 2011. At the end of December 2011, Canal+ France had 11.216 million subscriptions, a net increase of 158,000 year-on-year.

GVT launches hybrid satellite pay TV in Brazil

GVT selects Ericsson for pay TV in Brazil
Oct 29, 2010 – GVT (Paris:VIV) has announced that Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) will supply the platform for its hybrid satellite/IP pay TV service to be launched in 2011. Later this year, the company will select the supplier of set top boxes.

Canal+ migrates 490k subscribers to digital in 2009
Mar 1, 2010 – Vivendi (Paris: VIV) has released results for 2009. In metropolitan France, 2009 was marked by the resumption of subscription take-ups in the fall. In total, 490,000 subscribers have transferred to digital since the beginning of the year.

Brazil - Cisco and Ericsson to run IPTV trials for GVT
Aug 13, 2008 – GVT (São Paulo:GVTT3) has announced the two finalists of its RFP process to upgrade its platform for IPTV. Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) and Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) have been selected to run trials of the service at around the end of this year.
