Pay TV subscriptions in Russia to hit 37.6 million in 2016
Aug 17, 2012 – According to J'son & Partners, the number of pay TV subscribers in Russia at the end of 2011 was 28.6 million, up 22.2% on 2010. The company expects this number to reach 37.6 million by 2016, representing 69% of households compared with 52% for 2011.

Pay TV now in more than half of Russian households
Dec 27, 2011 – According to iKS-Consulting, the number of pay TV subscribers in Russia at the end of 2011 is to reach 26 million, a growth rate of 21%, giving a household penetration of greater than 50%.

AKADO Telecom and Netris Launch TV Broadcasting Service over the Internet
May 11, 2010 – AKADO Telecom and Netris have launched their TV Internet Broadcasting System (TIBS) based on Netris' IPSoft WebView. AKADO provides video delivery from content producer to TIBS where the content is transcoded for broadcasting over the Internet.

Digital Pay TV in Russia reaches 6 million subscribers
Apr 20, 2010 – According to iKS-Consulting, in Russia the number of subscribers to digital television in 2009 exceeded 6 million with 85% receiving digital by satellite and 6% through IPTV.

Russia - 9,000 have applied for AKADO HDTV
Sep 16, 2008 – AKADO (Comcor TV), part of Russia's Renova Group, started taking orders for HDTV equipment and services on September 1, 2008. The service is planned to start in October.
