Mexico satellite TV subscriptions up 83.8% in 2010
Mar 14, 2011 – In 2010, Mexico's telecommunications sector registered a growth of 13.6% according to the country's Comisión Federal de Telecomunicaciones (COFETEL). Satellite television remained the most dynamic segment of the sector.

Satellite TV subscriptions grow 91.6% in Mexico
Dec 9, 2010 – During the third quarter of 2010, Mexico's telecommunications sector registered a year-on-year growth of 11% according COFETEL. Satellite TV (DTH) subscribers grew 91.6% to 3.8 million with Cable TV subscriptions up 6.6% to 5.3 million.

Mexico plans $1.6bn of DTT set-top box subsidy
Sep 4, 2010 – The Government will invest 1.6 billion USD to subsidise the purchase of DTT set-top boxes for the 23 million households in Mexico according to the chairman of the country's Federal Telecommunications Commission (COFETEL).

Satellite subscribers grow 50% in Mexico in 2009
Mar 4, 2010 – According to Mexico's Comisión Federal de Telecomunicaciones (COFETEL), cable TV subscriptions in the country grew by 5.7 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009 compared with the same period in 2008, to reach 5.042 million users.
