May 8, 2017 – According to Digital TV Research, global pay TV revenues will peak in 2017 at $202 billion. However, no rapid decline will take place after 2017 as revenues will still be as high as $200 billion in 2022.

Feb 6, 2017 – Pay TV revenues for the 20 countries in the Middle East and North Africa will reach $4 billion in 2021 – down from $5 billion in Digital TV Research's previous forecast. Turkey, Israel, the UAE and Saudi Arabia will account for 90% of the shortfall.

Three-quarters of global TV households are now digital
May 12, 2016 – Global digital penetration climbed from 40.4% of TV households at end-2010 to 74.6% by end-2015, according to Digital TV Research. About 584 million digital TV homes were added in 138 countries between 2010 and 2015.
