Ecuador confirms ISDB-T choice
Mar 25, 2010 – Ecuador's Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUPERTEL) has recommended to the country's Consejo Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL) that Ecuador should proceed with the Japanese-Brazilian ISDB-T variant as its DTT standard.

313,000 pay TV subscribers for Ecuador at end-Feb 2010
Mar 16, 2010 – Ecuador's Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUPERTEL) has released pay TV statistics for the country up to the 27th February 2010. There were 313,000 subscribers in the Republic at that date.

Ecuador to also test ISDB-TB and DTMB
May 14, 2009 – In addition to ISDB and DVB, Ecuador's SUPERTEL is testing the Chinese standard (DTMB) and the Brazilian variant of the Japanese standard (ISDB-TB or SBTVD) with a decision to be taken on the broadcasting choice in June this year.
