HbbTV places contracts for HbbTV 2.0 test suite

Austria to begin DVB-T2 broadcasting

Austria subsidises HD cable receivers
Aug 31, 2009 – The majority of homes in Austria have already converted to digital TV. However, cable TV, used by 43% of Austrian households, is only 16% digital. For this reason, RTR has set up a €2 million fund to subsidise the purchase of cable TV receivers.
