Top U.S. pay-TV providers lost 5 million subscribers in 2023
Mar 8, 2024 – Leichtman Research Group (LRG) has found that the largest pay-TV providers in the U.S. lost about 5,035,000 video subscribers in 2023, compared to a net loss of about 4,590,000 in 2022.

EchoStar pay TV subscribers down 314,000 in 4Q 2023
Mar 1, 2024 – EchoStar (NASDAQ:SATS) has released results for the period to Dec. 31, 2023. Pay-TV subscribers fell 314,000 in the final quarter to close at 8.53 million (6.47 million DISH TV, 2.06 million SLING TV).

DTH subscribers down 1.32 million in India in 3Q 2023
Feb 9, 2024 – According to TRAI, the total Pay DTH active subscriber base in India decreased from 65.50 million at end-June 2023 to 64.18 million at end-September. There were 11 MSOs & 1 HITS operator with a subscriber base of over one million.

North America to lose another 10 million pay TV subscribers
Feb 23, 2024 – According to Digital TV Research, the number of pay TV subscribers in Canada and the U.S. will have fallen to 60 million in 2029, down from 111 million in 2015 and 60 million in 2023.
