Botswana to go with SBTVD for DTT

According to André Barbosa, Superintendente de Suporte at Brazil’s state broadcaster Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), Botswana has decided to adopt the Brazilian version of the Japanese ISDB-T terrestrial broadcasting standard known as SBTVD.
Mr Barbosa has also indicated that, at the next meeting of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) on March 15, other African countries such as Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Congo may decide to join Botswana in using the technology.
