Digital TV in 99.3% of French households at end-2011
Wednesday, June 27th, 2012France’s Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel (CSA) has reported latest results from its survey on the penetration of digital TV in French households.
At the end of 2011, 99.3% of French households had at least one TV connected to a digital TV source such as DTT, satellite, ADSL or cable. DTT at 61% of homes was the most popular with TV-over-ADSL second at 30.8% of households. Satellite was received by 22.5% and cable TV by 8%.

88.9% of homes were entirely digital, with cable the only remaining significant source of analogue TV.
