Azerbaijan adopts DTT receiver standard

Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents (Azərbaycan Respublikasının Standartlaşdırma, Metrologiya və Patent üzrə Dövlət Komitəsi) has announced that it has adopted a version (AZS İEC 62216-2013) of the IEC “Digital terrestrial television receivers for the DVB-T system” specification for use in the country. The standard comes into force on March 1, 2013.

The standard defines the technical features of SD and HD receivers for DVB-T systems. The standard applies to broadcast operators, and manufacturers and importers of receivers.
