Azerbaijan adopts DTT receiver standard
Tuesday, February 19th, 2013Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents (Azərbaycan Respublikasının Standartlaşdırma, Metrologiya və Patent üzrə Dövlət Komitəsi) has announced that it has adopted a version (AZS İEC 62216-2013) of the IEC “Digital terrestrial television receivers for the DVB-T system” specification for use in the country. The standard comes into force on March 1, 2013.
The standard defines the technical features of SD and HD receivers for DVB-T systems. The standard applies to broadcast operators, and manufacturers and importers of receivers.
