Telefónica and DIRECTV launch 'Trío' triple play in Argentina

BUENOS AIRES — Telefónica (NYSE: TAR) and DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) have signed an agreement to offer a triple-play package of broadband, telephony and satellite TV in Argentina.
The ‘Trio’ package, to be sold through Telefonica, is initially available in the city of Bariloche, in Río Negro province, with plans to extend the service to other areas where Telefónica and DIRECTV have coverage.
