Philippine Long Distance Telephone launches online video service

The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) [PSE: TEL, NYSE: PHI] has launced an online video service called Watchpad available to its myDSL subscribers in the Philippines.

The PC-service is based on peer-to-peer (P2P) technology from SyQic Capital’s Yoonic, with content from PLDT’s Mediascape-operated Cignal service.
