Germany proposes to end its analogue satellite TV in 2012
Monday, December 14th, 2009Germany’s media regulatory authorities (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Landesmedienanstalten – ALM) are proposing the end of analogue TV via satellite by April 30, 2012.
According to the 2009 digitisation report from ALM’s Regulatory Affairs Commission (ZAK) [Kommission für Zulassung und Aufsicht der Landesmedienanstalten], more than 70% of satellite households already receive their programs digitally.
