DTV Reference Designs Optimized for Global Connected & 3D Markets

SUNNYVALE, CA — Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ: ZRAN), the U.S. DTV SOC market share leader in flat panel televisions, is demonstrating its latest Internet Connected and 3D DTV and set-top box processor platforms for global consumer electronics manufacturers at Computex 2010 at the Grand Hyatt Taipei.

Zoran will be demonstrating its Internet Connected high definition flat panel television platforms for manufacturers shipping to Europe, Brazil, China, Japan, the U.S. and other regions, where there is growing demand for popular online applications such as DLNA, Netflix, Vudu, RoxioNow among others.

“At Computex, we are demonstrating our latest digital television platforms and technologies for manufacturers that want to deliver Internet Connected and 3D television products to global markets. We are especially pleased to demonstrate several new optimized product solutions for specific fast growing regions and emerging markets,” said Mustafa Ozgen, vice president and general manager Zoran’s digital TV business unit, Home Entertainment division.

Zoran also supplies Standard and High Definition set-top box platforms for worldwide operator systems. In Asia, Zoran is actively increasing its set-top business especially for China cable and India pay satellite markets with set-top partners such as Coship, DVN, Evolution, Homecast, Mingxin, Rinstar, Technisat, and others.

  • SupraFRC® object-based Frame Rate Conversion and de-judder technology for improved picture quality supporting 120Hz and 240Hz TVs, including Active Shutter Glasses- and Polarized Glasses-based 3D TVs.
  • SupraXD® H.264 Set-top box reference designs for a wide range of cable and satellite markets
  • SupraTV® Optimized Standard Definition MPEG-2 Cable Set-top box platforms with integrated demodulator and other applicable features for India, China and other global standard definition cable markets
