NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE — Netgem (Paris: NTG FP 7537; ETGM), a leading provider of connected entertainment, today announced that its Chief Marketing Officer, Yann Courqueux, will present on OTT opportunities for operators during the TelcoTV 2010 Conference from 9 to 11th of November in Las Vegas.
Joining other industry experts from Verizon Communications, DISH Network and Dailymotion, Yann will discuss “Capitalizing on the OTT Opportunity” on November 9th from 4:15 – 5:30 pm.
Throughout the event and in partnership with Harmonic Inc. (NASDAQ: HLIT) (stand #543), Netgem will be demonstrating its Hybrid IPTV Media Centre and Internet Adaptor that are already installed by SFR in France, Telstra Corp. Ltd. Netgem is also powering the Toshiba Places TV service in France providing a stand-alone over-the-top (OTT) streaming service and Set Top Box.
“As US Telcos grow increasingly concerned about the impact of over-the-top video, hybrid-IP delivery allows them to embrace it, rather than viewing it primarily as a threat.” said Steven Hawley, Principal Analyst and Consultant for tvstrategies, who is moderating the OTT discussion that involves Netgem and others.
“Netgem offers a blended experience of premium paid TV and OTT Internet content. Our Hybrid TV solutions goes beyond traditional IPTV and offer a more integrated experience than current pure OTT offers in market today,” added Courqueux.
