Cuba to begin DTMB DTT tests in June
Monday, May 27th, 2013Cuba’s Ministry of Communications has announced that it will begin digital terrestrial television (DTT) tests in June as part of its phased introduction of the technology in the country.
The tests will take place in a ‘demonstration zone’ in La Habana, with programmes being transmitted using the Chinese Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcast (DTMB) DTT standard. Equipment for the test has been provided by China as part of a development agreement between the two countries.
