SFR launches set-top box with Google Play in France

SFR is the first operator in Europe to offer a set-top box based on Android 4.2, giving access to Google Play services on the television.
Priced at an additional €3 per month, the hybrid box is available from November 19th. In addition to receiving the Club Vidéo SFR video-on-demand service, the box can receive up to 25 channels of terrestrial broadcast TV along with the associated catch up services (myTf1, Pluzz and 6Play), as well as internet radio channels.
The Android box includes Google services such as Google Voice Search, YouTube and Google Play Movies, and other applications from the Google Play Store.
