PRAGUE — The Czech Telecommunication Office (Český telekomunikační úřad – ČTÚ) has published an updated ‘D-Book’ specification for digital terrestrial television (DTT) in the country. The document summarises the recommended technical parameters for digital receivers and other devices to be used in the Czech Republic for both DVB-T and DVB-T2.
The new version takes into account the intention of broadcasters to use H.265 / ISO/IEC 23008-2 (MPEG-H Part 2) / HEVC for distribution of DTT over DVB-T2 in the future.
