ACTV DTH satellite TV launches in Nigeria

African Cable Television (ACTV – pronounced ‘Active’) has launched its DTH satellite pay TV service in Africa. ACTV offers four packages ACTV Prime, ACTV Family, ACTV Family Max and ACTV Premium, ranging from 19 to over 60 channels.
To receive the service ACTV provides its ACTV-6000 HD receiver which integrates High Definition TV (HDTV) decoding, PVR functionality, pause TV, picture browsing and great sound quality in a compact set-top box design.
ACTV is the first smartcardless service to be deployed in Nigeria.
