Uzbekistan's TELECOM TV adds CDN infrastructure

TASHKENT — Uzbektelecom JSC, the largest telecommunications operator in the Republic of Uzbekistan, has announced that it has installed CDN equipment in Bukhara and Kokand to improve the performance of its IPTV service.
Uzbektelecom provides the service in Uzbekistan under the brand name TELECOM TV. TELECOM TV consists of 61 TV channels in standard definition plus associated services.
The new infrastructure will support the company’s plans to add high definition channels in the future.
