Seeafrika Pan-African satellite TV service launched

COTONOU — On February 19, 2015, Canal Holding announced the launch of its Pan-African satellite TV service, Seeafrika. Seeafrika is available with a dish and set-top box in Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger with other African countries planned to be added later. The service is also available worldwide as an OTT service over the internet.
The basic service consists of ten channels (Bouquet Standard) alongside more than fifty African free-to-air channels. Sixteen 16 international channels can be added at an additional cost (Bouquet Intégrale).
Seeafrika is available on Eutelsat 16A at 16°E. Compression is MPEG-4.
The set-top boxes, either with embedded conditional access or requiring an external access card, are provided by Strong.
