ZyXEL Selects Dreampark's Middleware for New IP Set-Top Box
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008NORRKÖPING, Sweden — Dreampark, a leading IPTV middleware provider, today announced the integration with ZyXEL Communications (TSE: 2391), a worldwide supplier of DSL routers and IP networking-based solutions. Dreampark’s Dreamgallery™ IPTV middleware is now integrated into the ZyXEL STB-1003 IP set-top box for broadcast and video-on-demand (VOD) applications. With Dreamgallery, ZyXEL will offer operators a more flexible, scalable solution for providing a truly rich IPTV experience to end users.

The integration of Dreampark’s Dreamgallery IPTV middleware into the ZyXEL STB-1003 adds to the benefits of a truly flexible and scalable IP client for ZyXEL and its customers. Along with the ability to download new applications to the set-top box “on the fly,” these benefits include graphics rendering for customized graphical user interfaces; a feature portfolio enabling VOD, picture-in-graphics, email, electronic program guides, personal channel lists and more; and such administration features as automatic customer provisioning, EPG data and VOD metadata import and video file distribution.
