France - Canal+ launches first HD DTT channel

On the 8th of August, CANAL+ Group, a Vivendi (Paris: VIV) subsidiary, launched CANAL+ in High Definition on digital terrestrial. The launch, the first in France, coincided with the Olympics and the start of the French football season.
