Gibtelecom launches its new TV platform with Netgem

PARIS — Gibtelecom, Gibraltar’s leading telecommunications provider, launches its new TV offer based on the Netgem Group’s platform. Through the Netgem TV platform’s “Content-as-a-Service” model, Gibtelecom benefits from all the innovations developed by the Netgem teams such as the latest innovations in navigation (search, replay) and usages standardization between the different devices (Box and applications), In addition the update of the technologies used are directly driven by the Netgem TV platform.

With the help of innovative technological solutions developed by Netgem’s teams for the Netgem TV platform – which integrates all devices, from boxes to multiscreen – Gibtelecom is able to offer an enriched user experience: fluid interfaces, unified ergonomics, new features, and 4K.

The use of the Netgem TV platform has allowed Gibtelecom to widen its offering with 4K content from Amazon Prime Video and YouTube, as well as applications from Rakuten TV and Acorn TV, and more than 130 live and replay channels.
