Timothy Wahlers, enableTV President and CEO, states, “enableTV is dedicated to providing a deployment ecosystem to make OCAP a success. We have built our OCAP™ and professional services solutions expertise for 10 years, including 5 years of development with the CableLabs RI codebase. Now with the release of the CableLabs tru2way Reference Implementation, all the effort has come to fruition.”

In addition to its engineering, training and support services, enableTV also offers a full OCAP test facility with Motorola and Cisco headends, over 10,000 fully automated OCAP-specific and platform performance tests, remote testing and tru2way pre-certification services.

CableLabs tru2way Reference Implementation is an open source implementation of CableLabs’ OpenCable Application Platform (OCAP) middleware specification and provides device manufacturers and application developers a consistent interpretation of the specification. CableLabs released a beta version of the RI on June 15, 2009 through java.net, Sun Microsystems’ open source project site.
