Peru proposes ISDB STB manufacturing hub
Thursday, November 26th, 2009The Deputy Minister of Communications of Peru is seeking to make the city of Tacna, with its Free Trade Zone (Zona Franca de Tacna – ZOFRATACNA), into an industrial centre for ISDB set-top boxes.
The objective would be to develop and manufacture boxes for supply to any of the countries in the region that have adopted the Japanese-Brazilian (SBTVD/ISDB-Tb) digital television standard.
