China Telecom IPTV STB tender winners chosen

The winners of the August 2009 bidding to provide IPTV set-top boxes for China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; Hong Kong:0728) have been chosen.

Eight companies have been awarded contracts: Huawei (~500,000 units), ZTE (~150,000), UTStarcom (~100,000 units), Coship, 30Kaitian, Fiberhome, Jiuzhou Electronics, and Changhong.
