IPTV subscribers reach 1 million in Russia

According to a pay TV report from ComNews Research, the number of IPTV subscribers in Russia reached 1 million at the end of 2009, up by 70% versus 2008.

The segment with the highest growth in absolute terms was satellite with 2 million subscribers being added in the year. The satellite service ‘Tricolor TV’ alone went from 4.3 million to 6.2 million users.
