Chinese Company ‘Temobi Shenzhen’ Introduces Advanced Award winning Compression Technology

Temobi is a leading Smartphone application developer and provider of the TIVC client/server compression and transmission platform for mobile operators. The technology has been in operation since 2007 and is deployed by China Mobile and China Unicom. The platform offers a very cost effective solution to reducing bandwidth for video and multimedia distribution. Combining advanced compression algorithms with a highly efficient transmission technology makes it possible to deliver high quality video resolution over 2G networks (GPRS/EDGE), 3G and WIFI, starting from only 25kbps.

Technical and documented tests prove that the highly efficient TIVC CODEC can deliver same high quality video as the industry standard H.264, but at a reduced bandwidth of up to 70%. This means much better data network efficiency and economy for the mobile operator and content provider.

Temobi TQOS transmission technology provides stable data transmissions improving the overall quality of service. The result is less video mosaic and no buffering and it has just won the 2010 RED HERRING Global Award in Los Angeles.
