Brazil wants 15 million STBs to be produced over the next three years

Although the country’s consumer electronics industry is reluctant, Brazil’s government has a goal for the country to produce 15 million digital TV converters between 2011 and 2013. The government is considering possible subsidies or tax concessions in order to motivate manufacturers.
