Zoran Announces Irdeto Certification for Pay-TV Set-Top Box Products

SupraXD® 170 & 180 Processors Gain Security Certification

SUNNYVALE, CA — Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ: ZRAN) announced that Irdeto (JSE: NPN), the global leader in securing and delivering premium content and digital assets, has certified its SupraXD® 170 and SupraXD® 180 processors for the secure delivery of digital content to pay-TV set-top boxes that use Irdeto’s Conditional Access System (CAS). Zoran is also working with Irdeto to certify additional Zoran processors later this year.

Zoran and its OEM customers are developing multiple pay-TV set-top box products that will integrate Irdeto security and are expected to enter production later this year. Zoran’s SupraXD® 170 processor is designed for use in advanced security pay-TV set-top boxes using standard definition H.264. Zoran’s SupraXD® 180 processor is designed for use in advanced security pay-TV set-top boxes using high definition H.264.
