Pay TV STB shipments to fall in 2010

According to Screen Digest, shipments of pay TV set-top boxes reached a record high of 127 million in 2009, though revenue fell in the year to €9.2 billion. In 2010, both volumes and revenue are expected to decrease, to 120 million and €8.7 billion respectively. Growth is expected to return in 2011.
Screen Digest names Motorola as the top pay TV Box supplier by volume with Pace plc second and Technicolor third.
