ADB Presents Complete Product Range for IPTV Providers at TelcoTV 2007
Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007GENEVA, Switzerland and CHICAGO, USA — Advanced Digital Broadcast (SWX:ADBN), a leading supplier of technology solutions to the global digital television industry, announced today that it will provide a complete range of product solutions for Telco Operators wishing to migrate to IPTV services at TelcoTV 2007. Since announcing its first products at TelcoTV 2006, ADB has achieved great success deploying its pioneering ADB-3800W IPTV set-top box (STB) with 70+ Independent Operating Companies (IOCs) in North America.
ADB will strengthen its product range this year with the ADB-2500W, an entry-level standard definition (SD) Advanced Video Coding (AVC) STB and will introduce a state-of-the-art digital video recorder (DVR) the ADB-5810WX – all the products have been developed to offer DLNA/UPnP standards based content sharing and are compatible, via upgrade, with Osmosys’ Enhanced Graphics Engine (EGG™) providing Telco Operators with a tangible means of differentiating their IPTV services with high quality graphics. The off-the-shelf units are compatible and have been integrated with a number of leading conditional access (CA), Digital Rights Management (DRM) and middleware options including Latens, Verimatrix and Widevine cardless CAs and Minerva Networks’ iTVManager middleware platform.

A comprehensive portfolio of versatile solutions for Telco and IPTV Operators will be presented at TelcoTV 2007:
- The introduction of the ADB-5810WX – a digital video recorder designed specifically for IPTV operators wishing to offer their customers the convenience of personal video recording.
- ADB will showcase its pioneering ADB-3800W IPTV STB – the unit has already been launched with 70+ IOCs and is allowing them to optimise their revenue streams by adding video centric applications, such as Video-on Demand, to their service mix.
- The introduction of the ADB-2500W IPTV STB designed specifically to provide Telco Operators with a cost effective migration path to TV centric services such as Video-on-Demand.
- A live demonstration of its recent advances in new technology, with an innovative solution for content sharing showing how products can share content from a variety of media and sources including DVR, PC and STB.
- ADB will unveil products integrated with an Enhanced Graphics EnGine (EGG™) from Osmosys. ADB has teamed up with Osmosys to bring this first demonstration of its EGG™ to the US. The EGG solution can be embedded into ADB’s STBs irrespective of middleware choice and produces breathtaking 3D graphics and effects on standard STBs allowing operators to differentiate their service offering.
