Dolby Digital Plus has been adopted by the world’s leading TV and set-top box manufacturers to deliver surround sound for next-generation television. In Europe, France, Italy, England, Spain, and Sweden have all established Dolby Digital Plus as the broadcast audio standard for HDTV services. In China, Dolby has been committed to its implementation licensing programs for local encoder, chipset, and set-top box (STB) manufacturers. As of October 2010, 30 system licensees are participating in the Dolby Digital Plus broadcast licensing program in China.
