Montenegro finishes 2010 with 111 thousand pay TV subscribers

PODGORICA — The Broadcasting Agency of Montenegro (Agencija za radio-difuziju) has released subscriber figures for the six operators (three cable and one each of MMDS, IPTV and DTH) authorised to distribute radio and TV programmes to end users in the country.
As at 31 December 2010, the number of connections for the distribution of radio and TV programmes over the different Cable/MMDS/DTH/IPTV platforms was 111,613, representing 61.83% of households, the remainder being covered by terrestrial TV.

IPTV has the leading position in radio and TV distribution with 36.9% of the market. It is followed by DTH distribution at 31 percent and Cable and MMDS with 14.27 percent and 17.83 percent respectively.
