Verimatrix Demonstrates Momentum in Connected TV Devices and OTT Services at IP&TV World Forum 2011

Company Also Hosting Breakfast Forum Discussing Adaptive Streaming Solutions for OTT

LONDON — IP&TV World Forum, Booth #117 — Verimatrix, the specialist in securing and enhancing revenue for multi-screen digital TV services around the globe, today announced that it will be showcasing its broadening ecosystem support for connected TV and over-the-top (OTT) premium video services at the IP&TV World Forum, March 22-24 in London, through widespread integration of ViewRight® security clients at its booth (#117).

The multi-vendor booth demonstrations highlight Verimatrix’s greatly expanding OTT partner ecosystem, and its advanced security support for connected TV devices that enable new business models and revenue streams for Internet delivered content. Planned demonstrations include:

OTT Video Security

VCAS™ for Internet TV will be on display to demonstrate the ability to secure premium video services over unmanaged networks using the standard HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) protocol. The ViewRight® Web security client has been integrated with the AwoX Connected TV module that enables a variety of OTT video content and is compliant with the latest DLNA standard. Minerva Networks will also be showing its xTVFusion platform for the delivery of blended TV and secure OTT video services to broadband subscribers on multiple screens, which also features integrated ViewRight security and full compatibility with VCAS for Internet TV.

Embedded Security for Connected TV

Verimatrix’s ViewRight IP and Hybrid client security has been embedded to enable a range of connected TV capabilities. ViewRight® STB for IPTV will be featured on Vestel’s line of MB36 connected TVs that can directly support premium IP service delivery. The cardless client security will also be featured with an advanced CI+ CAM design in partnership with SMiT. The SMiT ViewRight CI+ CAM is available for set-top boxes (STBs) and connected TVs that support the new CI+ CAM standard.

Capitalizing on OTT Breakfast Forum

Verimatrix is also organizing a free Capitalizing on OTT Breakfast Forum on March 22 from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Hilton Olympia London. The Breakfast Forum will feature a series of short presentations by a panel of multi-screen experts and a roundtable session moderated by Aditya Kishore, senior analyst of Heavy Reading. During the Forum, recognized experts from AwoX, Harmonic Inc., Minerva Networks, RealNetworks and Verimatrix will discuss key aspects of implementing premium OTT offerings that expand revenue opportunities with services to diverse devices, offered both inside and outside an operator’s managed network.
