NetFront™ Living Connect Provides AirTies Wireless Home Networking Products With DLNA-Compliant Media Sharing Capabilities

LONDON — IP&TV World Forum — ACCESS CO., LTD, a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, today announced that AirTies, the innovative wireless home media networking vendor, has selected ACCESS’ NetFront™ Living Connect 2.0 as its DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) software solution of choice. NetFront Living Connect will be integrated into AirTies’ Media Gateways and STB (set-top box) devices, providing customers with advanced, DLNA-compliant media sharing capabilities.

NetFront Living Connect is a DLNA Certified software solution that allows end users to seamlessly enjoy their digital content anytime and anywhere. By selecting NetFront Living Connect AirTies will quickly be able to bring next-generation DLNA Certified solutions to market. The solution will give AirTies the ability to enable its device users to seamlessly enjoy their personal content on multiple devices within a connected home media network.

“We always aim to provide simple, reliable solutions that allow consumers to share and access video and data wirelessly around the home between any Ethernet-enabled device and because of this we had a long list of functionality requirements for a DLNA solution,” said Jim Lomax EVP International Sales & Marketing at AirTies. “Unlike other suppliers, ACCESS has already integrated functionality that anticipates the next-generation DLNA guidelines so they were able to fulfill our requirements now. ACCESS also has a long history of working in DLNA and the company’s solution is widely deployed so we knew we were in safe hands.”

“Both ACCESS and AirTies share the vision of making the connected home a reality so we’re delighted that they’ve chosen to integrate our DLNA solution,” said Dr. Neale Foster, VP of global sales IA, at ACCESS. “AirTies are looking to the future and want to be able to provide consumers innovative features such as Smart Media Manager (SMM), Remote User Interface (RUI) and Content Synchronisation so NetFront Living Connect 2.0 was perfect for them. We’ve gone through a rigorous process of interoperability testing with them and they’re very happy with the results.”

AirTies DLNA-compliant devices, featuring ACCESS’ NetFront Living Connect software solution, will be demonstrated for the first time at IP&TV World Forum in London Olympia from 22-24 March at AirTies’ booth #270 and ACCESS’ booth #155.
