Serbia releases DTT receiver specifications
Wednesday, January 18th, 2012The Republic of Serbia’s Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society has announced the release of minimum technical requirements and testing procedures for digital terrestrial television (DTT) set-top boxes and integrated digital TVs (IDTVs) to be sold in the country as it switches from analogue to digital broadcasting. It is estimated that 1.5 million households will need to converted as part of the process.
Serbia has chosen the DVB-T2 standard for broadcasting, using MPEG-4 video compression.
