TivùSat reaches 1.7 million active smart cards
Tuesday, November 20th, 2012ROME — Italian satellite TV platform TivùSat has announced that in November it had more than 1.7 million active smart cards in 1.43 million households, representing 5.6% of Italian families.
The regions with the highest penetration levels were Calabria, in which 12% of the families chose TivùSat, Liguria (11.5%), Molise (11.2%), Valle d’Aosta (9.8%), Basilicata (9.7%) and Sicily (8.4%).
The pay-as-you-go satellite platform, on Eutelsat at 13° East, offers 57 channels of TV and 45 of radio. Thirty-one decoders have been certified for reception, including four HD receivers.
