Onida Selects Orca Hybrid TV Tuner for LED Televisions

LAS VEGAS — 2013 International CES — Orca Systems, Inc., a fabless RF semiconductor company based in Poway, Calif., today announced that Onida, a leading Indian consumer electronics manufacturer, has selected Orca’s ORC5305 silicon tuner for its Next Generation LED televisions. The ORC5305 is a single-chip, CMOS-based, hybrid TV tuner that can receive both analog and digital signals from either terrestrial or cable networks.

Orca will be demonstrating analog TV (NTSC/PAL/SECAM) and DVB-T/DVB-T2/DVB-C reception using its ORC5305 TV tuner chip at the 2013 International CES in Las Vegas (Jan. 8-11).
