OpenTV and Nagravision file patent suit against Apple

CHESEAUX-SUR-LAUSANNE, Switzerland — The Kudelski Group (SIX:KUD.S) announced today that its OpenTV, Inc. and Nagravision SA subsidiaries have filed a patent infringement suit against Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
The lawsuit alleges that Apple infringes five U.S. patents owned by OpenTV and Nagravision, and identifies Apple’s infringing products and services as including iOS mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod), Apple TV, App Store, iTunes, iADs, Safari, and OS X-based personal computers.
