Chile's Mundo Pacífico launches digital cable TV
Monday, July 14th, 2014Chilean cable TV operator Mundo Pacífico has launched a digital television offering. The company already offers a 62 channel analogue television service, and has now launched an all-digital option. The ‘TV Digital HD’ package, as well as including the channels in the analogue package, adds 16 new channels in standard definition and 12 more in high definition. Premium HD Movie, Sports and Adult packages are also available.
The TV Digital HD package costs 18,900 pesos ($34) per month.
According to NexTV Latam, the company has acquired 3,000 set-top boxes for the initial roll-out, representing around 4% of its subscriber base (74,000 at end-2013).
