DTVKit announces Eagle Kingdom Technologies Ltd (EKT) as Product Member
BRISTOL, UK — Global Set-top box developer and manufacturer EKT has ported its own solidTV middleware solution on top of the DTVKit platform.
DTVKit, the not-for-profit organisation providing the core building blocks of a broadcast DVB stack, today announced that EKT have joined DTVKit as a member.
EKT, a global STB developer and manufacturer, has been one of the first companies to deliver Set-top box solutions in the field of IPTV / OTT and Hybrid. Already in the early stages, EKT and its solidTV group identified the need for a pan European and global DVB solution that is maintained and updated to the latest standards. DTVKit membership provides this and will enable EKT to further accelerate the time-to-market for its customers.
“EKT is an innovation led, forward thinking company bringing a wealth of experience to the DTVKit community” said Amy Cleary, Marketing and Operations Manager at DTVKit. “We are pleased that EKT share our vision and look forward to them being an active contributor to the community.”
“We now have the security of an ongoing, maintained DVB platform on various IC platforms, to ensure we deliver consistently good, quality products and flexibility to our customer base,” said Jill Mulder, Chief Technology Marketing Officer of EKT.
