Serbia introduces Digital TV logo for STBs and TVs

The meeting of the representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications with manufacturers and retailers of TV sets in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce regarding the establishment of the warranty trademark “digital TV”
State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Matić, will hold a meeting on Monday, September 29, 2014, at 10 am in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Resavska 15, with interested manufacturers and retailers of TV sets with regard to the establishment of the warranty trademark “digital TV”, which is registered under the Ministry as part of the digitalization process.
Assistant Minister, professor Irini Reljin will present the procedures for the use of the trademark guarantee “digital TV” and the technical characteristics that the digital TV signal receivers must fulfill in order to be marked by this mark.
The trademark guarantee will be used to mark TV sets and Set Top Boxes (STB) that meet all the technical requirements for the reception of digital TV signals broadcasted in the Republic of Serbia. In this way, the public will be assured that every STB or TV marked with the trademark guarantee meets the necessary technical requirements to receive undisrupted TV signals after the transition to digital broadcasting.
