SFR launches La Box TV Fibre in France

French telecommunications company, SFR, has announced the launch of La Box TV Fibre which combines telephony, high speed fibre broadband, TV from parent company Numericable and other SFR services.
The television service offers 200 TV channels, with 30,000 titles of video on demand.

The La Box TV Fibre set-top box that forms part of the service provides personal video recorder functionality such as pausing of live TV, restart of programmes from the beginning, picture-in-picture and simultaneous recording of two programmes. The box has a 500GB hard disk drive built-in, is HD TV capable, and has 802.11ac support for home networking.
The fibre broadband can deliver speeds up to 200Mbps and is available to the 8 million households covered by the SFR network. SFR also offers its Home by SFR home security service and online storage service, SFR Cloud, as options.
The La Box TV Fibre costs between €29,99 and €41.99 per month depending on the content and services selected.
