Antik Telecom hybrid satellite TV service to commence in 1Q 2015

Slovakian IPTV operator, Antik Telecom, has released details of its forthcoming AntikSat hybrid OTT-satellite TV service. The service will begin commercial operation on the first quarter of 2015.
Antik will offer six pay TV packages, starting at €0.99 per month for the most basic service, up to €8.80 per month for the Family package. The Family package will consist of 80 channels, around half of which will be broadcast via satellite.
The satellite portion will be broadcast on Eutelsat 16 at 16° East, in DVB-S2 format. Decoder cards for the service will cost €29, with CAMs available for €39. Antik will sell its own-brand receiver box for the service for €69. A complete hardware package including a dish will be available for €119.
Antik is planning to introduce an upgraded TV Home Gateway set-top box in the second quarter of 2015 which will have four satellite tuners and will support Ultra HD and HEVC decoding.
