CUPERTINO, California and HASSELT, Belgium — Entone, Inc., a leading provider of Cloud TV and Connected Home solutions, and Zappware, an end-to-end DVB/IPTV/OTT platform provider, announced today the availability of the Zappware Platform on Entone’s family of Hybrid TV devices. This fully integrated solution offers service providers a more flexible and enhanced Hybrid TV experience that blends broadcast TV and cloud services.
The Zappware platform provides an intuitive and personalized multi-screen TV experience across all devices, combined with a unified Service Delivery System to fully monetize all TV services on broadcast, broadband and hybrid networks.
“With this integration we again show our commitment to make the Zappware platform available on the best devices in the market. By using our own client middleware for this integration, we have also ensured that the Entone solution is fully compatible with all features of the Zappware platform,” said Koen Swings, CTO at Zappware.
Entone’s hybrid devices enable service providers to cost-effectively deliver Hybrid TV video services over any network while also providing a flexible platform to support cloud-based TV applications such as YouTube TV and Netflix. Entone hybrid devices also support IP video delivery with flexible networking options and are optimized for delivering Digital Video Broadcast (DVB-C, DVB-S, DVB-T) as well as streaming cloud-based services.
“Our hybrid devices integrated with the Zappware platform will enable service providers to accelerate their time to market, lower deployment risks, and offer core TV services while providing a platform for them to deliver emerging cloud-based services,” said Mark Evensen, Founder and CTO at Entone.
A demonstration of the joint Entone-Zappware solution can be seen at the ANGA Exhibition in Cologne, Germany at the Zappware booth 10.1/R9.
