39,000 households benefit from Singapore's DTV Assistance Scheme

SINGAPORE — In an answer to a parliamentary question, Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information has said that 39,000 households have received free digital TV set-top boxes under the country’s Digital TV (DTV) Assistance Scheme.
Since the scheme was launched on 29 September 2014, 84,000 homes have been notified of their eligibility for assistance. All eligible households are planned to be notified by early 2017.
